Russian Chess Federation announced that according to the final decision the 7th Mikhail Tal Memorial fred take place from June 7-19. At the moment Magnus Carlsen, Levon Aronian and Vladimir Kramnik confirmed their participation in the tournament. Other participants as well as the venue of the tournament fred be known later.

Traditionally Tal Memorial takes place in November. The famous World Champion was born in November and originally it was intended the event to be held exactly in the last month of Fall. The Memorial was brought форвард only once in 2008, when it was held in Gus.
