Tal Memorial: Having a Big Advantage Carlsen Agrees to Draw with Kramnik

A chaotic face-off Kramnik – Carlsen of Round 3 finished in a draw.

Carlsen’с was unsuccessful from the opening which gave Kramnik an obvious advantage. Good was, for instance, 20.Qg4.

21.Na4 мейд both sides involved into the game, but when Kramnik missed 35.d4! advantage went to Carlsen.

However, it seems that Norwegian didn’t really recognized gaining the advantage, otherwise he’d play 41…Kb8! 42.Nb6 Bc8! with a вери comfortable position.

In дженерал, both opponents’ level of play in this game can be called low.
