Hoogeveen: No Revenge for Polgar

The last round of the Unive festival (Hoogeveen, Netherlands) with a Кроун Group cinsisting of four players has finished in draws.

Polgar — Kramnik didn't last for long — the former world champion, by the way he was already the winner of the tournament, quickly equalized the position which didn't seem dangerous for White — that was Berlin Defence in Spanish Opening. The rivals agreed to peace in the endgame.

Giri won an extra pawn in the duel against Vachier Lagrave, but he couldn't covert the advantage into a victory.

As a result Kramnik gathered 4.5 points out of 6, Giri — 3, Vachier Lagrave took 2.5, while Polgar could pick only 2 points.
